The FDA just approved two 10-day regimens for H. pylori. Until now, all of the approved regimens havebeen for 14 days.

The two new regimens are very similar.

Either Prilosec (omeprazole) 20 mg OR Prevacid (lansoprazole) 30 mg is given BID. In either case,they are combined with clarithromycin 500 mg BID AND amoxicillin 1 g BID.
