Xeloda for colon cancer

More patients will be taking Xeloda for colon cancer. It's the first ORAL treatment approved for metastatic colorectal cancer.

Xeloda (capecitabine) will be used as an alternative to IV 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin.

It slows disease progression and prolongs survival about the same as IV therapy...but Xeloda is much easier to take.
