Organon will soon market Mircette, a novel birth control pill.

It's a combination of ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel...likeDesogen and Ortho-Cept. But Mircette has a UNIQUE dosing regimen...and contains a lower dose of estrogen.

Mircette starts with 21 days of ethinyl estradiol 20 mcg anddesogestrel 150 mcg. But this is followed by just TWO days ofplacebo tablets...then five days of ethinyl estradiol 10 mcg.
