shorter five-day regimen of levofloxacin (Leva-pak) for acute bacterial sinusitis
October 2005
Reps will be promoting a shorter five-day regimen of levofloxacin (Leva-pak) for acute bacterial sinusitis.
Patients can now take 750 mg daily for 5 days...instead of the usual 500 mg for 10 days.
The "higher-dose, shorter-course" approach is just as effective and has similar side effects...but is more convenient.
