Advair Diskus, the first combination steroid and long-acting bronchodilator inhaler for asthma

GlaxoSmithKline is now promoting Advair Diskus, the first combination steroid and long-acting bronchodilator inhaler for asthma.

It's a combo of Flovent (fluticasone) and Serevent (salmeterol).

This makes sense. Patients with persistent asthma often need an inhaled steroid PLUS a long-acting bronchodilator.
