New obesity drug, Meridia
Knoll is promoting their new obesity drug, Meridia.
Meridia (sibutramine) inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. It helps reduce appetite and increase metabolism.
Meridia leads to about a 5% to 10% weight loss. This doesn't sound like much, but it's sometimes enough to decrease the risk of hypertension, diabetes, etc.
