Two new anticoagulants just hit the market
Two new anticoagulants just hit the market...Normiflo (ardeparin) and Orgaran (danaparoid). They're both approved to prevent deep vein thrombosis after certain orthopedic surgeries.
Normiflo is a low molecular weight heparin...similar to Lovenox (enoxaparin) and Fragmin (dalteparin).
Low molecular weight heparins contain heparin fragments. They work at least as well as heparin...with less risk of bleeding.
