Use Doxycycline in Kids When Its Benefits Outweigh Risks of Teeth Staining
Patients are asking which meds can discolor teeth.
Tetracyclines are well-known offenders. Teeth may permanently turn yellow, gray, or brown with tetracycline or doxycycline...or blue, green, or gray with minocycline.
It often occurs during tooth development...when med is deposited in enamel. But minocycline can be a problem even AFTER teeth have formed.
