Stop Flozins in Patients Who Complain About Ketoacidosis Symptoms
See updated FDA information (December 2015) concerning SGLT2 inhibitors (Flozins) and ketoacidosis/urinary tract infections.Colleagues will ask you whether Invokana (canagliflozin) and other SGLT2 inhibitors or "flozins" are linked to ketoacidosis.

It's different from the ketoacidosis we typically see with VERY high blood glucose. It's often happening in patients with blood glucose levels near normal or only slightly elevated.
