Toujeo (too-JAY-oh) will be the first U-300 insulin.

Think of it as a more concentrated form of Lantus. They're both insulin glargine...but Toujeo has 300 instead of 100 units/mL.

DON'T think of Toujeo as an alternative to Humulin R U-500 for patients who need very high insulin doses. Toujeo only comes in a SoloStar pen, which only delivers up to 80 units per injection.
