Caduet (KA-doo-et), a combination of Lipitor and Norvasc

Pfizer will soon launch Caduet (KA-doo-et), a combination of Lipitor and Norvasc. The name comes from "CAD" for coronary artery disease...and "duet" for two drugs.

It'll come in all strengths of Lipitor (atorvastatin)... combined with either 5 or 10 mg of Norvasc (amlodipine).

The only benefits to this combo product are fewer pills to swallow...and slightly lower cost than using both drugs separately.
