    There are now two LIPID formulations of IV amphotericin B... Abelcet (amphotericin B lipid complex)...and Amphotec (amphotericin B "colloidal dispersion").

    A third one, AmBisome (liposomal amphotericin), will be out later this year.

    Amphotericin B has been the gold standard for systemic fungal infections. But its use is limited by serious renal toxicity.
