ReoPro (abciximab) to inhibit blood clotting
You'll see more cardiologists using ReoPro (abciximab) to inhibit blood clotting.
This biotech anti-platelet drug came out earlier this year. It's for patients undergoing balloon angioplasty...to help keep the dilated artery open.
So far it's only approved for high-risk patients. But now there's evidence of an overwhelming benefit in reducing MI and death...even after routine cases of angioplasty.
