Limit Use of Muscle Relaxants in Hospitalized Patients

We're getting questions about the role of muscle relaxants (cyclobenzaprine, etc) for acute pain.

Muscle relaxants are commonly on home med lists. In fact, about one in 3 patients with low back pain take one.

But most of these meds don't directly relax muscles...any symptom benefit is likely due to their sedative effect.
