Consider Tall Man Letters a "Caution Light" for Look-Alike Meds

We're getting questions about "TALL man" lettering and how it's used to prevent errors with med name confusion.

Some meds use tall man or capital letters to highlight part of their names...such as glipiZIDE and glyBURIDE.

This practice was developed by national groups to bring attention to medication names that look similar...so these may be showing up in your outpatient or hospital EHR, pharmacy handouts, etc.
