Oral quinolones, bisphosphonates, and isotretinoin can cause eye disorders.
This is true. These side effects aren’t common...but they can be serious.
Oral quinolones (ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, Avelox, etc) may increase the risk of retinal detachment by damaging connective tissue in the eye.
Detachment occurs during therapy...past use of a quinolone doesn’t increase the risk.
