Janssen now recommends that certain patients take Sporanox (itraconazole) or Nizoral (ketoconazole) tabs with a Coke or Pepsi.
This is for patients with achlorhydria...usually elderly or AIDS patients...or patients taking acid-suppressing drugs such as ranitidine (Zantac) or omeprazole (Prilosec).
